Switch Projects was selected to be Client Side Project Manager for the following successfully completed projects:
- Managing relocation activity, integration of commercial acquisitions, office moves, clinic fitouts, refurbishments, with facilities, infrastructure, systems, desktop and IT security considerations.
- WA Health - Real Time Equipment Tracking (RTLS) - Designing the strategy and project managing the purchase, installation and commissioning for site wide RTLS system, also overseeing the upgrade work in data closets, racks, UPS installation and all associated data and electrical fit-out resulting in 102,000sqm of tracking coverage over 14 floors throughout the site. Ancillary equipment theft decreased by 90% as a direct result of this asset tagging.
- WA Health - PABX Refresh/Facilities upgrade – Designing and implementing the upgrade strategy and undertaking a detailed system and handset audit across all sites. This involved designing the strategy, managing the procurement, IT infrastructure, and fit-out. The project included the upgrade of server rooms and data closets, new subfloors, ceilings, HVAC, UPS installation, electrical switchboard upgrade and data cabling. It also involved organising the training of all telephonists' in digital switchboard operation and site-wide handset training for 3,000 personnel. The project resulted in a robust telephony solution delivered for two very busy hospitals with upgraded and fully integrated paging systems, digital telephony consoles with associated UPS backup and 16,000 new handsets rolled-out across the sites.
- Refurbishment of Western Power data centres throughout metropolitan and regional Australia – Designing the strategy for the refurbishment for tier 1 data centres running 24/7 that could not be taken off-line and project managing all internal and external contractors. This resulted in creating a robust Tier 1 and Teir 2/3 data centre environment throughout regional and metropolitan WA with full UPS back up support.
- Creating tenders/bid packages for 21 transportable buildings - LNG Project on behalf of Honeywell.
- Managing the technical infrastructure upgrade and VoIP installation - Karratha site office, Horizon Power.
